What triggers it
The H line carries something the parser does not recognise. The accepted tokens are DX, DY, DZ, -AD, R followed by digits, an asterisk and a unit such as *MM, and /DEF.

Remove or correct the token. A frequent cause is a stray character or a setting from a newer Xilog version that the reference program never used.
